Today I went back to Amsterdam to see the aftermath of the Sail 2010 festival in Amsterdam. Instead of the great weather that I experienced on the second day, it was raining cats and dogs this morning. Despite the bad weather, there were still quite some people who witnessed the ships set sail. As I took this shot, the girl in the photo realized she should have brought a rain coat.

I took this shot about two weeks back at Stator in Utrecht. These are two containers holding fire hoses. The colors grabbed me and the accompanying lines made me take this shot head on.

This is one of the shots I took in Sofia, Bulgaria last weekend. I'll probably post more shots I took during my trip to that city. Again, this is a shot that I absolutely love because of the incredible contrast between two colors. I cannot wait to get it printed on a large format, because the detail turned out well.

Sapancha Station

This shot I took 2 weeks back at the Train Station of Sapancha in Turkey. This is one of the first shots that I've posted here that are taken with my Panasonic DMC-LX3 (The Panasonic release of the identical Leica D-LUX4). So this post also introduces my new pocket camera, which I take with me when I'm too lazy to carry an SLR around. I had long doubts about whether or not to buy A Canon G10, wait for the G11 or go for the LX3. The fast F2.0-F2.8 24-60mm Leica lens and the size of the camera is what made me go for the LX3. The only thing that bothers me is that the camera shows a lot of noise from ISO200 onwards. (Lowest setting is 80)

Yesterday I had a photo shoot in an empty factory in Bad Homburg, which is owned by a friend of mine. I had planned to create a series of silhouettes against a white wall in one of the old cargo areas, using different light sources and objects. Luigi Mulé, which is in this shot was one of the models that volunteered to help out this weekend.

Since I was walking through the city of Frankfurt on this sunday afternoon I decided to enter the My Zeil shopping center once again, which on a day with no open shops, is almost entirely deserted. The shopping center has a large number of escalators, connecting all the different floor levels.

I originally posted this shot on streetfetish.com. I took this shot a few weeks back when visiting the Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt am Main. Although the exposed art was brought down to a minimum at the time that I visited I must say that I was very impressed with the modern sterility of the complex, which dates back to 1991. This photo was taken from one of the balconies overlooking the main room of the museum at the moment these people entered.
